By becoming a member of TipSee you agree to adhere and abide by the Terms of Service listed and stated herein.  The Terms of Service are subject to change at any time, so please check them periodically.  If using the site, you are subject to the Terms of Service that are implemented at the time of use.

 

TipSee was created to serve visual artists.  This includes any form of artwork that is perceived primarily by the eyes.  Of course other senses are involved in much of contemporary forms of visual art, and we are open to the breadth of interpretations.  A list of common forms of media include; painting, sculpture, drawing/illustration, ceramics, photography, digital arts, textiles, jewelry, industrial design (furniture, functional objects), installation, and video.  If you have questions about whether your creative endeavors fit within our framework, please email samples of your work to tipsee.art@gmail.com

 

*All artist members of TipSee are expected to upload samples of original artwork produced by the registered user who is doing the uploading.

*All gallery/institution members of TipSee are expected to upload images that represent their gallery or exhibition space.

 

TipSee is a public space, therefore the content of the art presented by its members must at all times reflect the general public’s interests.  While TipSee strongly believes in the importance of artistic freedom of expression (protected by the first amendment), this public forum is not the appropriate place for all forms of expression.  TipSee will not permit any creative works that portray the following:   (each is defined at: http://www.thefirstamendment.org/ncfechap1.htm)

• Obscenity
• Child pornography, or indecency
• Harmful to Minors
• Defamation
• Hate Speech
• Files that violate any law or may be considered to violate any law.
• Files that infringe on the copyrights of any entity excluding the user.

You further agree that content you submit to the Service will not contain third party copyrighted material, or material that is subject to other third party proprietary rights, unless you have permission from the rightful owner of the material or you are otherwise legally entitled to post the material.

TipSee reserves the right to decide whether Content violates these restrictions. TipSee may at any time, without prior notice and in its sole discretion, remove such Content and/or terminate a user’s account for submitting such material in violation of these Terms of Service.  To report any type of abuse or request deletion, send an email using the Contact form and choosing the respective subject. Please note that it may take up to 7 days to process deletion requests.

The Tipsee concept and logo are protected by common law trademark, and have reserved rights which belong to the creators of the site.

All image files are copyrighted © to their respective owners. TipSee directs full legal responsibility of files to their respective users.

TipSee is not responsible for the content of any uploaded files, nor is it in affiliation with any entities that may be represented in the uploaded files.  

Membership

All membership terms are on an annual basis.  Membership renewal is automatically set to take place exactly 12 months from the date that the membership originated.  A renewal reminder email will be sent 15 and 7 days before the expiration of current membership term.  Accounts will be given a 15 day grace period if not renewed on time.  After the grace period ends, accounts will go into a lapsed status.  During a lapsed status, the artist’s profile card will be removed from the directory, and the artist’s profile page will be inaccessible to the public.  Members can still log in to their profile, but will be prompted to renew membership.
